The program

The Master in Corporate Communication is aimed at providing our students with a detailed, multi-faceted understanding of how the media, information and organizations connect together, how to identify and manage stakeholders and how these move about and influence others, to better serve the goodwill.

Taught entirely in English at our campus in Madrid, and the MediaLab sessions at our campus in Segovia, this program will prepare students for careers as Communication Directors, Community Managers, Account Managers, Campaign Planners, Public Mediators to name but a few and in sectors ranging from Corporate Organizations, to Non-Profit Foundations and from Governmental Parties, to Advertising and Media Agencies.

Throughout the program your courses will require you to participate in workshops run in our MediaLab in Segovia, a space where you will be able to research, create, edit and produce content. These workshops will encourage students to develop their own interpersonal skills and learn how to manage intangible, yet measureable assets.

By the end of the program you will have learned how to work on negotiation tactics, design protocols, conflict and crisis management, supervision and strategic control of news content and flow, and will be ready to embark on international careers in corporate communications.

Structure

The Master in Corporate Communication is an intensive, ten-month program divided into three periods that run from October to December, January to March and April to July. Students will be attending all course content units at our IE campus in Madrid, with a number of MediaLab sessions at our campus in Segovia.

The program comprises 4 core units and a final project which will cover the following subjects:

Detailed Information

How to Apply

We seek dynamic, motivated, creative candidates with excellent academic and professional backgrounds who also offer the kind of interpersonal skills that will benefit the program.

Admission is granted on a rolling basis and although early application is recommended, there is no deadline for applications for a particular intake. Admission is valid for two years.

Requirements

To be considered for admission, a candidate must have successfully completed the following prior to submission:

- Bachelor degree (or equivalent) from an accredited university

- One-page CV

- Two letters of recommendation

- Official university transcripts (certified translation into English or Spanish)

- English language certificate (Cambridge Proficiency, TOEFL, TOEIC, IELTS,EOI) for non-native English speakers. Not required for those having completed an undergraduate degree in English

- Photocopy of current passport

- One passport-size photo

- Duly completed application form, including all supporting documents

- Application fee 120€ (non-refundable and payable by credit card or cash)

Course Fees

Candidates pay a non-refundable application fee of 120€ to cover administrative costs.

The tuition fees for the Master in Corporate Communication for the October 2011 intake total 19,200€, including a 1,200€ contribution to the IE Foundation.

Admission is valid for two years, allowing the successful applicant up to two years to reserve a place on an intake, thus allowing students to plan their experience. To reserve a place on the Master in Corporate Communication, intake students are required to make a deposit of 4.000€ + the contribution to the IE Foundation(1,200€)

University Diploma

Those students in possession of an official university diploma, or with an equivalent official diploma that allows access to post-graduate studies in the country of your university studies, will be awarded an Official University Master in Corporate Communication from IE University.
